Dear parents,
This week, we’re continuing our series on the habits of Jesus. Each week, students are looking to Jesus, at one of his habits, and exploring how this habit relates to their own lives.
In this week’s lesson, we looked at John 15:9-17, and we discussed how Jesus’ love caused him to give everything for us. We saw that Jesus had a habit of giving, but maybe not for the expected reasons. Jesus gave because he radically loved other. We are discussing how we can love people and give of ourselves for others too.
This week, find some time to talk with your teenager—maybe in the car or at the dinner table. Consider these questions:
- What is your favorite possession, and why is it so meaningful?
- What could you give someone else—whether it’s time, money, a possession, or an act of service?
- How do you plan where you’ll spend your money?
- Read and discuss, 2 Corinthians 8:7-8 and 9:7.

Thanks for supporting our students and this ministry. Have a great week!
