“Parenting the Internet Generation” Resource

28239_Technology_LineupI want to recommend a resource to the moms and dads of our church. This is for parents with children of all ages – though I am especially thinking about those of you with young children. If you ever hand your child a smartphone or tablet – or if you have decided to let them have their own internet-capable device – you need to read this. If you think you can wait until your children are teens or even pre-teens to start helping them learn how to use the internet safely, you are going to be too late.

So here is the resource: a company called Covenant Eyes recently published a free e-book that I believe every parent should read. And then after you’ve read it, draw up a plan of action for your family.

Technology is a wonderful gift. You wouldn’t be reading this blog post without it. But like all good gifts, we must learn to use it wisely.

There is a lot more I could say about how important this subject is. But instead of listening to me, download the e-book, start reading what they have to say, and get busy equipping your members of the “internet generation.”

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Don
