Summary
Maybe no phrase better captures the spirit of hypocrisy than “Do as I say, not as I do.” This phrase is also a pretty good summary of how many people approach their religious faith. That’s what many of the Pharisees in Jesus’ day were doing – and it is what too many Christians still do today. In this sermon, we focus on two obstacles to true greatness in the eyes of God and the solution Jesus says we need to adopt instead.
