Children’s Ministry

AWANA Clubs (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)

AWANA resumes on September 26, 2018.

AWANA is our local mission ministry not only to the children in this church but to all children in the community. AWANA runs from late September through April each year and is for three year olds thru 6th Grade. The clubbers have the opportunity to earn AWANA Dollars throughout the year by completing their AWANA books by learning memory verses and doing projects at home. There are special theme nights throughout the year: Awana Grand Prix, a skating Party and the very popular AWANA Store, where the clubbers can spend their Awana dollars. Dues are $13 for the first child, $10 for each additional child in the household. AWANA is each Wed. evening from 6:00 till 7:30 at the church. Helpers are always needed and the training is supplied. See you there!!

Sunday School

Primary Class (Preschool – 2nd Grade) – Jesus, What a Savior! Meeting in the room between the restrooms and stairwell – Each lesson in Jesus, What a Savior! is designed to present the material, including Bible stories, in a way that proclaims the centrality of the greatness and worth of God. This chronological study on redemption focuses on God’s revelation of His Son, Jesus, as the one and only hope for desperate sinners—the good news of the Gospel!

Elementary Class (Grades 3rd – 5th) – To Be Like Jesus Meeting in the room at the far end of the auditorium – What is salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? To Be Like Jesus begins by helping students answer these important questions by establishing the foundation of what it means to be created in the image and likeness of God and shows how we have sinned and utterly fallen short of glorifying God as we should. Then, students will learn nine elements of the Gospel message, its purpose and its promise. The second half of the curriculum focuses on the doctrine of sanctification—the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus.

Parents – While your child is in Sunday School, please join us for one of our Sunday morning Adult classes

Nursery and Li’l Praisers

Children are always welcome at our worship service.  We would like to encourage a family setting for worship, but we understand that there may be times when this cannot happen.  If children become restless and disrupt the worship of parents or others, we offer both Nursery for infants from 0 to 36 months and Li’l Praisers Children’s Church during worship for ages 3 to 6 years of age.  During our worship service, the high school room, located on the west side of the main auditorium, is available to nursing mothers who desire more privacy with their children.  The service can be viewed on video screens in both the nursery and high school rooms.
